Apple Vision Pro Developer Kit Is Now Available For Developers
Apple is starting to send out kits to developers, though there are some catches
The Apple Vision Pro Developer Kit is out and Apple’s website is now taking applications.
Here are some quick key facts:
- Only developers with the Apple Developer Program are eligible
- Interested developers need to submit a brief with details about the developer/team’s skills and track record of building apps.
- Priority will be given to applicants focused on building an app that “takes advantage of visionOS features and capabilities.”
- Apple will loan a kit to successful developers.
It will be interesting to see if developers start sharing their experiences with the device and the development experiences with them.
I’m pretty excited to get some first hand accounts as to how they are developing applications for these devices when you have the devices on hand. Will developers wear these devices and use this as a direct simulator to test and develop at the same time? 🤔
