I’ve never had a situation I’ve regretted where I’ve given my best.
I’ve never been truly proud of any time when I didn’t give my best.
In every situation, whether you enjoy it or not, it’s in your best interests to give your best every time.
- Learning — you learn faster and more thoroughly because you are really trying and pushing your limits.
- Failure becomes more instructive — when you really tried, failures hurt and as a result you reflect and take the lessons more seriously
- Consistency — Effort builds consistency, and consistency snowballs outcomes over the long run.
- Control your fate — luck isn’t fair and it isn’t guaranteed. But it’s also true that good fortune smiles on the hardworking. And while it isn’t guaranteed that others will take notice, no one disrespects effort.
This may be obvious. But it’s so hard to consistently do this. Everyone can do it once or twice in a while, but true strength and the longterm foundations of success are built through consistency of action and resolve.
We don’t want to wake up one day and realise we have not reached our potential due to things that were hard but were within our control
We got to strive to do our best and encourage others around us to do the same.
