Did Google Give A Sneak Peak Into The Successor Of Google Glass At The 2024 Google IO?
I’ve been watching the 2024 Google IO announcements today and noticed a short clip in one of their advertisements where the actor puts on a pair of glasses before using AI to interact with what they are seeing.

A Google Glass Comeback?
Since Google announced its original Google Glass way back in 2013 there has been a lot of talk about whether Google will ever follow up with a real mainstream product.
I’m a huge believer in the future of the Augmented Reality medium, I truly believe this could change the world in a huge way if the right devices and software tools come along. I think using glasses as a medium is powerful as it is not too foreign to what we are used to in everyday life.
Of course, maybe it is just Google gearing up to battle Meta “Smart” glasses, and other AI gadgets like the Humane Pin and Rabit R1. But I have a small hope that maybe, just maybe it will be a AR device.
